Blanket & Throw Size Guide
Not sure which size to choose? Every product page gives the exact measurements of that throw or blanket. This guide helps you picture how it will look on your bed or sofa.
UK bed sizes (mattress)
- Single: 90 x 190cm
- Small double: 120 x 190cm
- Double: 135 x 190cm
- King: 150 x 200cm
- Super king: 180 x 200cm
Which size throw do I need?
- Across the end of the bed: choose a throw at least as wide as your mattress. A 130 to 150cm throw looks lovely folded across the foot of a double or king.
- Covering the top of the bed: choose a throw roughly as big as your mattress, and allow about 25cm extra on each side if you'd like it to drape over the edges.
- On a sofa or armchair: 120 to 140cm wide is ideal for draping over the back or arm, or for snuggling under.
- Picnics and the car: our waterproof picnic blankets are sized for two to four people, with details on each product page.
A quick guide to common throw sizes
- Around 120 x 150cm: sofas, armchairs, single beds and the car.
- Around 140 x 180cm: sofas, or across the end of a double bed.
- Around 140 x 200cm and larger (XL): the end of a king-size bed, or covering a single or small double.
Sizes can vary by a few centimetres, as many of our throws are woven in small batches and some include tassels in their measurements.
